Abstract
We found that photochemical hydrogen abstraction occurs in a benzophen one crystal doped with hydrogen donors such as diphenylmethane and ben zhydrol. In diphenylmethane-doped benzophenone, the reaction is therma lly activated. The magnitude of the activataion energy (1400cm(-1)) in dicates that an intramolecular vibration is involved in the reaction.
