Abstract
The aza-Wittig reaction of the triphenylphosphoranylideneamino-1,4-ben zoquinone 1 with aryl isocyanates and aroyl chlorides allows the prepa ration of oxazolo[5,4-b]phenoxazine and benzoxazole derivatives. The s ame reaction using 7 as iminophosphoranoquinone provides substituted b enzoxazoles and the previously unreported 4H-[3,1]benzoxazino-5,8-quin ones. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
