Tg. Rizzo, LEPTON-NUMBER-VIOLATING RADIATIVE W-DECAY IN MODELS WITH R-PARITY VIOLATION, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 47(11), 1993, pp. 4991-4994
Models with explicit R-parity violation can induce new rare radiative
decay modes of the W boson into single supersymmetric particles which
also violate lepton number. We examine the rate and signature for one
such decay, W-lgamma, and find that such a mode will be very difficult
to observe, due to its small branching fraction, even if the lepton-n
umber-violating coupling in the superpotential is comparable in streng
th to electromagnetism. The reason for this small rate is primarily du
e to the helicity suppression of the amplitude that results from the f
orm of the allowed R-parity-violating couplings in this class of model
s.
