Abstract
Brannerite occurs as subrounded to subangular grains (0.05mm to 20mm) in marble, quartzite, carbonate rock, quartz biotite schist and albiti te, and in soils derived from these lithounits of AJabgarh Group of me tasediments around Kachera dam-Ladikabas area of Sikar district, Rajas than. It alters to rutile along the margins and fractures. The analysi s shows 30.6-36.9% UO3, 0.9 to 3.2% UO2, 33-40% TiO2 and 3.4% total (R EE)(2)O-3.
