Ay. Vodyankin et al., OXIDE CATALYSTS APPLIED ON A METAL-SUPPORT USED FOR COMPLETE OXIDATION OF CO AND CARBON-CONTAINING GASES, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 68(6), 1995, pp. 902-903
Deep catalytic oxidation of CO and carbon-containing compounds is the
most efficient method of oxidizing purification of exhaust from intern
al combustion engines and industrial enterprises. The existing industr
ial catalysts for neutralization of exhaust are characterized by relat
ively high layer resistance and low mechanical strength. Metals of the
platinum group are used as the active component of these catalysts [1
]. It has been demonstrated that it is possible to replace the catalys
ts which use precious metals as the base with oxide catalysts which ar
e more available and yet display a high catalytic activity [2].
