Abstract
Maximum catalytic activity in NO+CO neutralisation and CH4 combustion was observed for M/Y2O3 (M = Cr and Mn) at a M loading of 3-5%; this i s understood to result from the stabilisation of active isolated M ion s in yttria due to oxide-oxide interactions between the active transit ion metal oxide and the support.
