The second and fourth central moments of the EPR line of the Mn2+ ion
clusters are calculated for the case when isotropic and anisotropic su
perexchange interactions exist between paramagnetic ions. The infinite
-temperature linewidth for each type of the cluster is found taking Lo
rentzian lineshape function. Using cluster-method calculations of cent
ral moments, infinite-temperature EPR linewidth in Zn1-xMnxTe is evalu
ated for x less than or equal to 0.20, and the results are compared wi
th the theory of the EPR line broadening developed for randomly dilute
d magnetic semiconductors. The cluster-method approach to the EPR line
width offers an explanation of the narrow resonance observed in Zn1-xM
nxTe for x > 0.20. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
