Increasing empirical attention is being paid to understanding the etio
logy, course, and duration of binge eating disorder, and numerous type
s of treatment for this disorder are currently available. This article
examines binge eating disorder and discusses problematic issues in it
s current treatments from a feminist therapy perspective. A model conc
eptualizing the regulation of food intake and binge eating is presente
