Abstract
Lysosomal storage disease involving the brain, spinal cord, liver, and spleen was discovered in a 6-month-old male emu (Dromaius novaehollan diae). The diagnosis was based on light and electron microscopic studi es and histochemical staining characteristics. This is the first case of lysosomal storage disease reported in a ratite.
