Abstract
The reaction of 2,3-bis(chloromethyl)-1,4-naphthoquinone with 1-nitrop ropane onion is shown to proceed by two consecutive S(RN)1 reactions l eading to the bis-C-alkylation product. (C) 1996 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd
