He-6 beta decay to alpha + d continuum is studied in a three-body alph
a + N + N approach. The branching ratio for beta-delayed deuteron emis
sion is found to be (3 - 4) X 10(-5) for three-body He-6 and Li-6 wave
functions reproducing the ft value for He-6 with great accuracy. The
results are sensitive to the neutron halo structure of the He-6 nucleu
s.
