In this correspondence, we investigate linear dependence of steering v
ectors for arrays comprising multiple electromagnetic vector sensors.
We derive upper and lower bounds for the number of linearly independen
t steering vectors associated with such arrays. These bounds are poten
tially useful for determining the number of signals whose directions-o
f-arrival can be uniquely identified.
