Abstract
The synthesis, processing and mechanical properties of the lightweight metals, aluminum, magnesium and titanium produced by powder metallurg y approaches are reviewed. Synthesis techniques to be addressed will i nclude rapid solidification, spray deposition, mechanical alloying, pl asma processing and vapor deposition.
