UNANTICIPATED INCOME AND CONSUMPTION IN ASEAN COUNTRIES

This note tests the rational expectations-permanent income hypothesis for the six ASEAN countries using the methodology developed by Hall an d Flavin. The statistical evidence rejects the hypothesis for each cou ntry except Singapore.
