Values of dielectric constant (epsilon') and loss factor (epsilon'') h
ave been experimentally determined for binary liquid mixtures of ethyl
methyl ketone + ethylenediamine and methyl isobutyl ketone + ethylene
diamine at 9.44 GHz microwave frequencies at 30 degrees C. The values
of epsilon' and epsilon'' have been used to evaluate the molar polariz
ation, apparent polarization and the excess permittivities. Excess ref
ractive index, viscosity and activation energy of viscous flow have al
so been estimated. These parameters have been used to explain the form
ation of 1:1 complexes for both the systems.
