L. Wendler et Vg. Grigoryan, RESONANCE AND FINE-STRUCTURE EFFECTS IN THE SPECTRUM OF MAGNETOPLASMONS IN QUANTUM-WELL WIRES, Solid state communications, 98(8), 1996, pp. 683-687
A theory is developed to calculate the dispersion relation of the magn
etoplasmons of the quasi-one-dimensional electron gas in the framework
of the random-phase approximation in the presence of a quantizing mag
netic field. We calculate the optical power absorption and discuss the
magnetooptical manifestations of the magnetoplasmons in absorption sp
ectra. It is shown that for certain values of the physical parameters,
additional intersubband modes exist which have the character of confi
ned modes. With these modes it is possible to explain the recent exper
imental findings of resonance splitting and fine-structure effects in
far-infrared transmission spectroscopy on quantum-well wires.
