The light adaptation of the bacteriorhodopsin molecules in polymeric e
nvironment under the laser irradiation is studied by means of the holo
graphic method. It is shown that there are the fast component connecte
d with the photocycle transitions BR(570)reversible arrow M and slow c
omponent accounted for the light adaptation in the holographic recordi
ng kinetics. The light adaptation relaxation time is determined in the
samples being studied.
