The design of a planar quasioptical doubler con figuration with an out
put frequency of 290 GHz is presented, Frequency conversion is realize
d with a monolithic Schottky - varactor array, Coupling of electromagn
etic energy from beam waveguide to chip and vice versa is carried out
with integrated antenna arrays. Electromagnetic field calculations des
cribe coupling effects between the single array elements, RF-measureme
nts of multiplier performance are also presented.
