PREPARATIVE SEPARATION OF LYSOZYME ON TSK GEL CM-5PW ANALYTICAL COLUMN ON THE SCALE OF SEVERAL HUNDRED MILLIGRAMS BY OVERLOADING ELUTION TECHNIQUE

The separation and purification of lysozyme from 150 mg protein mixtur e on TSK Gel CM-5PW, an analytical cation exchange column (Phi 7.5x75m m),by overloading elution mode of nonlinear chromatography was reporte d in this paper. It has been found that more than 90% of recovery and a satisfactory purity of lysozyme fraction, which was checked with sta ndard sample by high performance capillary electrophoresis and UV spec trophotometry, was achieved.
