m-Xylene gaseous phase isomerization over Fe-substituted HZSM zeolite
catalyst was studied in a fixed bed continuous laboratory scale reacto
r. To investigate the mechanism of transformations laking place on the
inner surface of the catalyst, several experiments were carried. out
in the presence of pyridine. The isomerization kinetics, including the
catalyst deactivation by coke deposition were experimentally and theo
retically examined, A kinetic model is formulated and its parameters e
stimated for isothermal conditions at 673 K.
