Abstract
The necessity for a constant phase-shift element (CPE) in equivalent e lectric circuits of solid electrolyte-based cells is explained using r elations based upon a recently proposed model, which describes the cha rging of a metal/superionic conductor interface as a process of fracta l-type motion of particles in a network of regular channels. The relat ions are derived within the mathematical apparatus of the percolation theory.
