Mv. Patrakeev et al., THERMOELECTROCHEMICAL CONVERTER BASED ON SOLID ELECTROLYTES WITH UNIPOLAR OXYGEN CONDUCTION, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 32(4), 1996, pp. 482-486
The operation of a heat machine of the regenerative type, which is bas
ed on solid electrolytes with unipolar oxygen conduction and utilizes
oxygen as the working medium, is studied experimentally and theoretica
lly. Dependences of electrical characteristics on the thermoelectroche
mical converter parameters such as working temperatures and pressures,
materials, and geometry are obtained. Factors that limit the usable p
ower output of the device and optimum modes of its operation are deter
mined.
