Y. Kurusu, SYNTHESIS OF METAL-COMPLEXES AND THEIR REACTIVITIES - THE DIFFERENCE OF REACTIVITIES AMONG THE MANGANESE COMPLEXES, Macromolecular symposia, 105, 1996, pp. 173-177
Manganese ohelates were prepared and the autoxidation of isopropyl ben
zene (IF) was carried out. (Mn-Chelate-1) showed a long induction peri
od, but the other complexes (Mn-Chelate-2 and -3) which contain two or
more magnesium ions in each molecule had shorter induction periods. T
he difference comes from the conformation around the manganese ion. Mn
(III) acetate prepared from the oxidation of manganese (II) acetate wi
th potassium permanganate in acetic acid was discussed.
