Abstract
With the advent of the Internet and advanced computer technology, the potential for computer misuse has increased. Authors Laura Davis, Mari lyn D. McShane, and Frank P. Williams III describe how computers have given child molesters access to a plethora of pornographic material in cluding photographs, pictures, bulletin boards, referrals, and ''talk' ' networks. The authors explain why it is important for probation offi cers who are preparing presentence investigations on sex offenders and who are supervising them to know about computer access to pornography .
