E. Madejon et al., COTTON FERTILIZATION WITH COMPOSTS OF (SUGAR-BEET) VINASSE AND AGRICULTURAL RESIDUES, Fertilizer research, 43(1-3), 1996, pp. 179-182
A concentrated depotassified beet vinasse was mixed with each of ten s
olid agricultural residues. The ten mixtures were composted for 7 mont
hs. The composts obtained after this period were used to fertilize a c
otton crop. A mineral treatment was used for comparison and a treatmen
t without fertilization was used as control. The nitrate content of pe
tiole determined before the first top dressing revealed significant di
fferences between treatments: All treatments produced higher yields th
an the control. Analysis of fibre quality did not show significant dif
ferences between treatments.
