Abstract
Using the schlieren cylindrical lens method, diffusion coefficients we re measured at 298.2K for eight kinds of phenols in aqueous solutions of methanal, ethanol and 1-propanol. The data were compared with the e stimated values from the Leffler-Cullinan correlation. The mean deviat ion of the estimated values from the observed ones was found to be 6%.
