Abstract
New substituted naphtylidineaniline schiff bases were prepared. Their UV-visible spectra were run in different solvents with different polar ity ranging from protic, aprotic and non polar. The two bands above 43 0 nm were assigned to the keto form, their molar extinction coefficien t was used to calculate the keto form of those anils of 2-hydroxy-naph thalene-1-carbaldehyde.
