Abstract
In this paper we extend to fuzzy subset setting the results from class ical measure theory that (i) a measure algebra (a, mu) with its canoni cal metric rho is a complete metric space for which the mappings A --> A', (A, B) --> A boolean OR B, (A, B) --> A boolean AND B are uniform ly continuous, and (ii) (a, rho) is a convex metric space iff a is non atomic. The classical results are particular cases of the extensions.
