Abstract
The generation of hard-x-ray radiation (h omega greater than or equal to 25 keV) from short-pulse Ti:sapphire laser-produced plasmas is stud ied. Solid targets are irradiated by 0.2-10 ps laser pulses in the int ensity range of 5x10(13)-5x10(16) W/cm(2). It is shown that the measur ed dose rates obey a simple scaling law.
