Abstract
Clear cell adenocarcinoma is a descriptive term assigned to rare tumor s of the urogenital tract of unknown histogenesis. Based on anatomical location and microscopic similarities to renal cell carcinoma a meson ephric origin has been supported.(1) To our knowledge clear cell adeno carcinoma unassociated with the urothelium arising in the pelvis of a male adolescent has not been reported previously. Morphological evalua tion, including immunological staining, and electron and light microsc opy, demonstrated characteristics similar to those of mesonephric aden ocarcinoma despite an inability to determine the organ of origin.
