Abstract
The rib shape of Harpoceratinae (Protogrammoceras and Fuciniceras) fro m Morocco are analyzed by identifying homologous points and are then c ompared with an equivalent fauna from Italy. Morphological similaritie s and differences between taxa are evaluated by LSTRA and baseline adj ustment methods. Both methods reveal numerous morphological convergenc es while emphasizing the distinctive morphology of some Moroccan taxa. The methods prove effective for comparing fauna from different region s.
