Abstract
The title compound, [Fe-2(C5H5)(2)(C16H20O)], formed by reduction of p ropionoylferrocene and subsequent dehydration, crystallizes as a racem ic mixture of RR and SS forms. In the central C-O-C fragment, the angl e at the O atom is 115.7(2)degrees.
