Abstract
In the title complex, [Ca(C6H15NO3)(2)](C7H3N2O6)(2), the Ca2+ ion is sandwiched between two triethanolamine ligands (IUPAC nomenclature: 2, 2',2 ''-nitrilotriethanol), each of them coordinating through all four potential donor sites. The coordination polyhedron is distorted cubic . The 3,5-dinitrobenzoate counteranions do not interact directly with the cation but are hydrogen bonded to the hydroxy groups of the trieth anolamine ligands.
