Abstract
(b)(PNP)[Zn(ONO)Pc(2-)].H2O [Pc(2-) = (C32H16N8)(2-)] has been prepare d from zinc phthalocyanine and bis-(triphenylphosphine)iminium nitrite [(PNP)NO2] in acetone. The Zn atom has tetragonal pyramidal coordinat ion geometry with the Zn atom displaced out of the center (Ct) of the four inner N atoms (N-iso) of the non-planar Pc ligand toward the nitr ite ligand [Zn--Ct = 0.469 (3) Angstrom]. The nitrite ion is monodenta te O-coordinate [Zn--O = 2.059 (3) Angstrom]. The average Zn--N-iso di stance is 2.032 Angstrom. Pairs of weakly overlapping anions are prese nt. The cation adopts a bent conformation [(b)(PNP): P1--N(K) = 1.576 (2), P2--N(K) = 1.582 (2) Angstrom; P1--M(K)--P2 = 141.12 (13)degrees] .
