Abstract
The absolute configuration of the title compound, methyl o-2-furanyl)- 3-methyl-3-pentenyl]-6--hydroxy-1,4a, 6-trimethyldecahydronaphthalene- 1-carboxylate, C33H43BrO7, a derivative of the sesterterpenoid salvile ucolide methyl ester isolated from the aerial parts of two Iranian Sal via species, has been determined at 173 K. The compound belongs to the normal (10K) series and the configuration at C(16) is also R.
