Advances in the histopathologic and ultrasonographic diagnosis and tre atment of gestational trophoblastic diseases have been paralleled by p rogress in understanding the molecular basis underlying the biologic a lterations observed in gestational trophoblastic tumors and choriocarc inoma cell lines.
