Abstract
Yeast accomplish a variety of intracellular motile events with the aid of mechanochemical enzymes known as motor proteins. This review cover s the current state of knowledge on myosins, kinesins, dyneins, dynami ns and SMC proteins present in yeast cells, and the most important dev elopments in the study of yeast mitosis. Both topics have seen rapid p rogress over the past few years.
