Abstract
The dispersion relation of a cold plasma in a periodic magnetic field is deduced and analyzed in both the presence and absence of plasma cur rents. In particular, the characteristics of the waves with phase velo city equal to the speed of light are shown. (C) 1996 American Institut e of Physics.
