Aa. Beloglazov et al., A RESONANT OPTOELECTRONIC TRANSDUCER FOR THIN-FILM PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL SENSORS, Instruments and experimental techniques, 38(6), 1995, pp. 786-793
This paper describes an optoelectronic transducer for converting light
to surface plasmons in a corrugated Schottky structure, which can be
used as a sensor of environmental parameters. An Au-Cr-(p-Si) structur
e and a, structure with a gas-sensitive phthalocyanine 18-crown-6H(2)p
c film were studied. The measurements were at wavelengths of 633 and 6
70 nm. The maximum photosensitivity at 633 nm was 0.2 A/W at a photocu
rrent gain of 6, and the FWHM of the resonant peak in terms of angles
was 2.7 degrees. The transducer with a laser diode operating at 670 nm
was tested by detecting 5.10(-6) of nitrogen dioxide in air.
