Abstract
An isoperibolic solution calorimeter is described for measuring the en thalpy of formation of intermetallic phases and amorphous metal alloys within a temperature range of 298 to 1200 K. The heats of solution of pure nickel and zirconium in liquid aluminum at infinite dilution hav e been measured. The results obtained compare well with those availabl e from the literature.
