Abstract
Rhizopus strains capable to attack raw cassava starch present in solid waste (bagasse cassava) from cassava starch production were selected. Among nineteen strains tested, only three of them were capable to att ack significantly raw starch present in cassava bagasse by solid state fermentation, six attacked moderatly, seven weakly and three did not grow in these substrate.
