Abstract
Nonphosphorylated 2-5A inhibited translation and caused RNA degradatio n in wheat germ extract, whereas 3-5A had no effect. Protein synthesis inhibition by 2-5A was observed in tobacco protoplasts. 70 kD 2-5A-bi nding protein was found in potato leaf extracts by chemical crosslinki ng.
