Ab. Dehaan et J. Gmehling, EXCESS-ENTHALPIES FOR VARIOUS BINARY-MIXTURES WITH N-METHYLACETAMIDE OR ACETIC-ANHYDRIDE, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 41(3), 1996, pp. 474-478
Excess enthalpy data provide information to allow a quantitative tempe
rature extrapolation of the excess Gibbs energy model parameters or th
e interaction parameters in group contribution methods. In the case of
amide or anhydride systems however, insufficient excess enthalpy data
are available in the literature. This paper presents excess enthalpie
s for binary mixtures of N-methylacetamide with cyclohexanol, propanoi
c acid, hexylamine, N,N-dimethylacetamide, benzene, toluene, propyl ac
etate, and cyclohexanone at 90 degrees C and water at 50, 90, and 125
degrees C. Excess enthalpy data are also reported for binary mixtures
of acetic anhydride with benzene, toluene, and cyclohexane at 90 degre
es C. The results have been fitted to the Redlich-Kister expansion.
