Abstract
The mechanisms and kinetics of phospholipid phase transitions - induce d by temperature jumps or pressure jumps and investigated by time-reso lved X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation - are discussed. Me chanistic models for these thermotropic and barotropic phase transitio ns obtained from these jump relaxation measurements under non-equilibr ium conditions are discussed.
