Abstract
A method for measuring sheet electron beam emittance is developed. The effective emittances are obtained through construction of particle di stribution in the transverse dimensions using slit-pinhole parameters. Measurement of a mild relativistic sheet electron beam is given as an illustration. The modified slit-pinhole method provides a simple mean s for characterizing sheet electron beam quality.
