Yi. Korenman et al., EXTRACTIVE RECOVERY OF NITROSOPHENOL AND AMINOPHENOL AND THEIR DERIVATIVES BY C-3-C-4 ALCOHOLS, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 68(7), 1995, pp. 953-956
Isomers of propyl and butyl alcohols were used for extractive recovery
of nitroso- and aminophenols, their alkyl anal nitro derivatives, sal
icylidene-2-aminophenol, and nitro and nitroso derivaties of resorcino
l in the presence of a salting out agent. Distribution coefficients an
d degree of extraction of 12 nitrogen-containing phenols were establis
hed, as well as the relationship between the extraction characteristic
s and the structure of the compound extracted. Efficient extraction sy
stems are recommended that allow nearly complete recovery of nitrogen-
containing phenols from aqueous media.
