Abstract
New extraction systems based on ethylene glycol ethers are proposed fo r extractive recovery of nitrogen-containing phenols from aqueous medi a. The conditions of formation of two liquid phases when salt (ammoniu m sulfate) is introduced were investigated by plotting ternary solubil ity diagrams. Recommendations on techniques allowing nearly complete r ecovery (95-99%) of 20 nitrogen-containing phenols from aqueous media are given.
