Abstract
The effect of pretreatment of polyethylene terephthalate membrane in a corona discharge on ultrafiltration of solution of poly(4-vinylbenzyl )trimethylammonium hydroxide is investigated. The question is treated as to how the surface potential is affected by the membrane treatment procedure, charge, and time. An interpretation of the observed phenome na is offered.
