Abstract
The oxidation of alcohols by sodium percarbonate has been carried out at reflux of acetonitrile or 1,2-dichloroethane in the presence of cat alytic amounts of both molybdenyl acetylacetonate and Adogen 464. Fair to high yields of the corresponding carbonyl compounds have been obta ined from various primary and secondary alcohols.
