Abstract
The synthesis of cationic phospholipids (CP) by neutralization of the negative charge of the phosphodiester moiety is described. It involves esterification of the remaining P-O- linkage of the phospholipid by r eaction with substituted sulfochlorides in the presence of C-1-C-4 alc ohols.
